Capture an area and copy it without saving a file. Select any text on screen and it lands in your clipboard. Annotate with arrows, boxes and pixelated blur, then export at the original resolution. Pinned shots stay on top of everything until you dismiss them.
Without JavaScript this is a still of a capture: the selection, its size, and the overlay that follows.
Every shot lands in an overlay first. Nothing hits your desktop until you say so.

The build is not notarized, so macOS asks twice. Once you're through, it just works.

Grab the latest release and drag Snappy.app into /Applications.
On first launch macOS refuses it. Go to System Settings › Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway. Right-click › Open no longer works on macOS 15.
Accept the Screen Recording prompt, then quit and relaunch Snappy. It can't capture anything before that.
All of them are yours to change in Settings.
